The ‘Fast & Furious’ Franchise Expands with Animated ‘Fast & Furious: Spy Racers’
It has been just a little over 18 years since The Fast and the Furious first graced our screens. Since then, we have seen spin-offs, and we are patiently waiting on the ninth installment. It is impressive for sure and still expanding. It was recently announced that an animated series, Fast & Furious: Spy Racers, will premiere on Netflix on December 26.
Animated by DreamWorks Animation, the series will star Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) as Tony, Vin Diesel’s iconic character Dominic Toretto’s cousin. Speaking of Vin Diesel, the series will stay in the family not just on-screen, but off-screen as well. Diesel’s daughter, Similce Diesel, will play Sissy, the younger sister of Frostee Benson (Luke Youngblood). Also, what is Fast & Furious without a crew? Joining Tony and Frostee are Layla Gray (Camille Ramsey), Echo (Charlet Chung), Cisco Renaldo (Jorge Diaz), and Shashi Dhar (Manish Dayal).
This will be the perfect series to hold us over as we wait for Fast & Furious 9 to arrive in theatres on May 22, 2020, and also to let a younger generation enjoy a part of our favorite racing movies. Make it a family affair on December 26 on Netflix when all episodes of Fast & Furious: Spy Racers arrive!
