While fans are anxiously waiting for the launch of Disney+ and all its exclusive content, more happy news has arrived fueling the excitement for the new streaming platform. Taking over Marvel Studio’s Instagram account, actors Anthony Mackie (who plays Sam Wilson, also known as The Falcon) and Sebastian Stan (who plays Bucky Barnes, also known as The Winter Soldier) announced that they have started production on their exclusive mini-series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which will air on Disney+ next year.

Our favorite duo did not disappoint by displaying their usual banter and chaotic energy that will undoubtedly make the days on set extremely fun, but also extremely difficult. Anthony Mackie also posted this picture on twitter, showing off two director chair’s with their respective character names on it:

From their looks in the Instagram story, we can’t really say whether they were already in character in casual clothing, or whether it was just a video filmed before production started – but Sebastian Stan is definitely missing Bucky’s signature long hair. In the poster revealed at D23, we also saw a short-haired version of the character, so maybe this is the look they are going for in the show.

We can’t wait to see what else Mackie and Stan will bless us with while production is running. Of course, this all just builds the excitement for the actual show coming out next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this and other Disney+ content!

Conny joined her first fandom at the tender age of three and somehow never stopped finding new things to obsess about and love. Her current love is everything Marvel, especially two characters who tend to be frozen at one point or the other. From Drag Race to Harry Potter or musical theatre, as long as it makes her smile (or cry), it’s probably her thing.
