New destinations inspired by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker are coming December 2019 to Star Tours rides at various Disney parks. Star Tours is a motion simulated ride. The ride sequence is randomized, and due to various elements — there are a variety of opening segments, destination segments, hologram message segments, and ending destination segments — the ride can be different each time you ride.

The new destinations are set to be added on the same day as the new movie release: December 20, 2019. According to the Disney Parks Blog, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue will be adding new destinations inspired by the latest episode of the Star Wars saga at Disneyland Resort inCalifornia, Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo Disney Resort. They hint that the ride’s StarSpeeders will be headed towards Kef Bir. Glimpses of the ocean moon from Kef Bir can be seen in the trailers for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

Star Tours has added new destinations with previous movie releases. They have also added the destination of Batuu, the planet where Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida and Disneyland in California. You can read a Nerds & Beyond review about Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge here.

Thank you for reading, and in the words of Aly San San (the mascot of the ride’s travel company), “buh-bye!”
