D23: ‘Obi Wan’ Series with Ewan McGregor Announced for Disney Plus

Lucasfilms’ Kathleen Kennedy announced at the D23 Star Wars streaming presentation that Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as Obi Wan Kenobi for a new original Disney Plus series. McGregor made an appearance on stage  to confirm the news. According to Kennedy, all the scripts are written and filming is set to begin next year. McGregor played Obi Wan in the Star Wars prequels “The Phantom Menace”, “Attack of the Clones”, and “Revenge of the Sith.”

There has been no information as to the title of the series or the story line as of yet but we’ll bring you updates as they come in!
