Zachary Levi Named Ambassador for Active Minds
Zachary Levi has been an advocate for bringing mental health needs out from behind closed doors and actively talks about his own personal struggles of living with someone who suffers from mental illness as well as its effect on those around them. It’s no surprise then to hear today that he has been named an Ambassador for the non-profit Active Minds. Active minds is focused on changing the conversation around mental illness by providing mental health education and resources to students on over 500 college campus chapters all over the country. The organization has been providing award-winning services for 15 years and every year over 15,000 students sign up to be passionate advocates and mental health educators serving their home campus.
“Our consistent message, amplified by more than 15,000 students each year, is that mental health needs to be talked about as easily as physical health. Only then can we bring suicide and mental health into the open so no one struggles alone.” – Active Minds
Levi shared the news today via his Instagram account. We’re proud to support yet another entertainer using their platform to do something good for the world by getting the word out about the opportunities available.
