‘Mean Girls’ was released in 2004. Starring (left to right) Lindsey Lohan,  Amanda Seyfried, Rachel McAdams, and Lacey Chabert. This image is courtesy of IMBD.

Written by Tina Fey, Mean Girls tells the story of a teenage girl beginning at a high school in suburban Chicago after being home-schooled by her zoologist parents in Africa up until then.

Mean Girls has become a cult classic phenomenon in the 14 years since it’s release. So much so, that October 3 has been dubbed “Mean Girls Day.” This stems from a scene in the movie when Aaron Samuels asks Cady Herron the date, and she responds, “It’s October third.”

This day is marked by several events, including a free Broadway performance of “Mean Girls: The Musical in New York City.”

Join us in celebrating Mean Girls! It’s so fetch!
