Martial Art Crime Drama ‘Wu Assassins’ Coming to Netflix

There is a new martial art crime drama coming to Netflix in 2019 called Wu Assassins.  Taking place in San Francisco’s Chinatown it will have a supernatural spin to it.  The first season is going to be 10 episodes long.

The show will star Iko Uwais (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) as the character Kai Jin, Uwais will also be the stunt coordinator and lead martial arts choreographer.  Also, on the show is Kathryn Winnick (Vikings), Tommy Flanagan (Sons of Anarchy), Lewis Tan (Iron Fist, Into the Badlands) and Tzi Ma (Once Upon a Time).  It is written by John Wirth (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles).

“Warrior chosen as the latest and last Wu Assassin must search for the powers of an ancient triad and restore balance in San Francisco’s Chinatown.”

Tommy Flanagan posted a video of himself doing archery training in preparation for the show.

We will be keeping an eye out for a more specific release date for Wu Assins as 2019 approaches.
