If you have been missing Glee, NBC’s new drama may be the new best thing. ‘Rise’ tells the story of a group of high school students, an inspired teacher and a drama department in need of some fresh blood.
This teaser focused on Robbie Thorne (Damon J. Gillespie) and Lilette Suarez (Auli’i Cravalho,) two students at the high school who are clearly musically inclined. They will join the drama department’s production of Spring Awakening, led by teacher Lou Mazzuchelli (Josh Radnor) and Tracy (Rosie Perez.)
Rise premieres after the season finale of This is Us on Tuesday, March 13 at 10/9c and will air after that on Tuesdays at 9/8c.
