After hinting during the Batwoman season 2 premiere that Superman & Lois would premiere as a two-hour special event, The CW has officially confirmed the news. The premiere will air as a 90-minute debut followed by a half hour “Legacy of Hope” special. The special will feature sneak peeks as well as interviews with the cast with special guests discussing the legacy of the Man of Steel.

Superman & Lois will follow Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) and Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) as they navigate the parenting of their two sons while also juggling being world-savers after leaving the big city for Smallville. Jordan Elsass (Jonathan Kent), Alex Garfin (Jordan Kent), Stacey Farber (Leslie Larr), Inde Navarrette (Sarah Cushing), Joselyn Picard (Sophie Cushing), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Lana Lang Cushing), and Dylan Walsh (General Sam Lane) also star.

With this news also comes the confirmation that The Flash season 7 premiere will no longer happen on February 23. Instead, The CW has moved the premiere date a week forward, now set to air March 2 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Superman & Lois premieres February 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
