Anime Expo 2019 is expecting more than 100,000 fans to attend this year’s event, which takes place at the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC) from Thursday July 4 through Sunday July 7. And no one will want to miss all of the Alita: Battle Angel activities.

Based on the manga by Yukito Kishiro and adapted for the big screen earlier this year by Academy Award winners James Cameron & Jon Landau as well as visionary filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, Alita will be taking over the expo with must-see daily activations.

Visit the Manga Lounge at Room 502B all weekend to access plenty of Alita manga for reading, a photo opportunity, and actual props that were used during filming.

Are you a cosplayer? Then Saturday July 6 will be your favorite day, when the Alita Cosplay Meetup takes place at the LACC north entrance. Live out your Alita dreams by becoming the title character and other inhabitants of Iron City. There will also be appearances by favorite cosplayers, including Stella Chuu, Zekia, Kitsurie, and Yume!

During the entire convention weekend, across the street from the LACC, artist Cloe Hakakian is painting an amazing manga inspired mural that embodies the essence and humanity of Alita. There will also be a panel for consumers to put themselves in the mural.

Can’t make it to the Anime Expo? Grab Alita: Battle Angel on Movies Anywhere July 9 and on 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray™ 3D, Blu-ray™, and DVD July 23! Special features will include behind-the-scenes access that shows the journey from manga to screen and what it took to bring Alita to life. Plus, go deeper into the universe of Alita: Battle Angel, where you’ll learn about the past, the characters of the present, and the thrilling sport of Motorball.
