British Band The Wanted Announces Greatest Hits Album, New Single, Live Performance, and More!

0

It’s been a long time since fans of The Wanted have had any news regarding a potential reunion, but the day has finally come! Announced on Twitter via the band’s old account, the group will release a greatest hits album entitled Most Wanted: The Greatest Hits out November 12 including new music and an upcoming tour!

The album will (obviously) feature Glad You Came, Chasing The Sun, We Own The Night, and more. Not only will be revisiting their best songs to date, but the group also announced in a press conference (watch the full interview here) that there will be new music including a new single dropping soon written by Max George five years ago. In the conference, the boys talked about the difficulties of recording with 2/5 of the band in LA, but they are excited to bring their fans new content.

The Wanted shared that there are also plans for an upcoming UK tour to be announced “soon” (though no specific timeline was given). “It feels like the right time now,” said Nathan Sykes.

Prior to the band’s split, fans were often treated to content every Wednesday on YouTube and became known as Wanted Wednesday. It’s only fitting that today’s announcement arrives on Wednesday along with a brand new Wanted Wednesday skit. It’s widely known by fans that member Tom Parker has been battling a brain tumor, so the skit features a hospital waiting room reunion where every member has an “ailment.” It’s everything fans could ever want from the very first return of Wanted Wednesday. Check it out below!

As if all this exciting news wasn’t enough, the band will be taking part in the upcoming live in concert at the Royal Albert Hall as part of Tom Parker’s “Inside My Head” performance on Monday, September 20. Tickets are still available but fans who want to attend should hurry, they certain won’t last long! The benefit concert will see all proceeds split equally between charities Stand Up To Cancer and The National Brain Appeal. Fans will be able to catch highlights of the concert broadcasting as part of Tom’s Channel 4 documentary with an extended show to follow. It’s sure to be a stellar event with performances from The Wanted, One Direction’s Liam Payne, and more UK talent!

You can preorder and presave the new album here. Hoping to score some merch? Fans are in luck, the band’s site now has signed packs, shirts, and individual cds or cassattes for sale! Happy Wanted Wednesday to fans and you can bet we’ll be covering any future announcements, once a The Wanted fanmily member, always a fanmily member.
