Star Wars Cassette Tape, Funko POP! Characters Announced

Two great pieces of merchandise were announced – a Star Wars cassette tape with the music from Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released by Urban Outfitters on May 13, 2016 – you can pre-order it at their site here!

Funko also announced their next collection will be from Star Wars: The Force Awakens! The collection will be released in July and will feature Rey, Kylo Ren, FN-2199 (Finn) as a Stormtrooper, Maz Kanata, General Leia, Luke Skywalker, Snap Wexley, ME-809, General Hux, Guavian and more.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and JJ Abrams Sing Song from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”

Lin-Manuel Miranda, from Broadway’s Hamilton and the director of Star Wars: The Force Awakens got together to celebrate Star Wars Day, May 4th, by singing a song they wrote together for the Cantina in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The song, titled “Jabba Flow” was written in Jabba the Hutt’s language and according to Miranda, translates to “No lover, lover, it wasn’t me.”

New “Star Trek” Series Set to Begin Filming this Fall!

There’s not a lot of news on the new Star Trek series, but we just learned a little bit more! The new series will begin filming this fall and will be filmed in Toronto.

According to StarTrek.com, the series will be produced by Bryan Fuller and “In the U.S., a special premiere episode will air on the CBS Television Network and all subsequent first-run episodes will be available exclusively on CBS All Access.”

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” As Told by Emojis

Disney released a fun, 3-minute video of a re-telling of Star Wars: The Force Awakens through phone emojis!

Celebrate “May the 4th Be with You” at Disneyland!

Disneyland announced some exciting events to help celebrate “May the 4th Be with You” at Disneyland Resort.

On May 4th, guests can see a special screening of a fan-favorite episode, “Shroud of Darkness” from the animated series Star Wars Rebels.

There will also be special merchandise and Star Wars collector glasses and a unique themed photo location.

At night, join a fan celebration at the Galactic Grill Stage at 6 p.m. to participate in Star Wars trivia and more surprises.

New “Finding Dory” TV Spot Released with New Footage!

Disney & Pixar released a new TV spot for Finding Dory, the sequel to the 2003 film Finding Nemo!

The spot includes new clips from all-new characters! Ellen DeGeneres returns as the beloved Dory, while Ed O’Neill, Eugene Levy, Diane Keaton, Kaitlin Olson, Idris Elba, Dominic West, Ty Burell and Torbin Bullock lend their voices to new characters.

“Wet Hot American Summer – Ten Years Later” Coming to Netflix in 2017!

Last year, Netflix released Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp which was a prequel to the famous Wet Hot American Summer film. The mini-series followed the counselors and campers on their first day in the summer of 1981.

Now, Netflix is bringing back the show, in a sequel called Wet Hot American Summer – Ten Years Later! The series will include eight all-new 30-minute episodes about what their favorite campers and counselors are up to ten years after the original film.

It’s set to release in 2017.

The series will be written by Michael Showalter and David Wain and Wain will direct. Executive Producers for “Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later” are Michael Showalter, David Wain, Peter Principato, Jonathan Stern and Howard Bernstein.

Inside Look at Disneyland’s “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion”!

Disney released an inside look as they get ready for Frozen – Live at the Hyperion at the Disneyland Resort, which will debut this summer.

The video shows a look at how they’re adapting the songs for the musical, with Disney partnering with Jason Michael Webb (“The Color Purple”).

Universal Orlando announced that The Exorcist will be part of Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights for the first time, ever.

Just like this amazing film, the maze needs to overcome you—even possess you (wink)—with its visuals, characters and environments. It needs to force you on its horrific quest for this young girl’s very soul and spit you out the other side. That is our goal and we are beside ourselves with excitement at the opportunity to do so this year.

Trailer for “Batman: The Killing Joke” Released!

The official trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke has been released! This will be the first R-Rated Batman film. Kevin Conroy, Ray Wise and Tara Strong all lend their voices to the film, with Mark Hamill returning as the Joker.

As Batman hunts for the escaped Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime attacks the Gordon family to prove a diabolical point mirroring his own fall into madness.

The film will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD.
