New Trailer Released for Disney’s “The BFG”

0

A new trailer for Disney’s The BFG has been released! Directed by Steven Spielberg, Disney and Spielberg unite to bring Dahl’s The BFG to life.

The BFG (Mark Rylance), while a giant himself, is a Big Friendly Giant and nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Giants like Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) on the other hand, are twice as big and at least twice as scary and have been known to eat humans, while the BFG prefers Snozzcumber and Frobscottle. Upon her arrival in Giant Country, Sophie, a precocious 10-year-old girl from London, is initially frightened of the mysterious giant who has brought her to his cave, but soon comes to realize that the BFG is actually quite gentle and charming, and, having never met a giant before, has many questions.

The BFG is set to release in theaters on July 1, 2016! See the trailer below:

Con*Quest – The Journal Every Convention Attendee Needs!

0

We’ve been reporting a lot on conventions lately and through doing that, we’ve found something that we – as fans of shows such as Supernatural and The Walking Dead – thought was really great.

Con*Quest Journals are “journals for everything you do at a con.” We had the chance to review the company’s Hunter’s Con Pack, which is modeled after the television show Supernatural.

The con pack, which is selling for $49.00, really is, in our opinion, something every convention attendee needs.

It comes with a long-handled tote bag, that you can put anything (including the journal) into and it’s sturdy enough to carry around. The journal (which is more like a binder) is filled with pages themed to the pack and you can write down all of your con memories.

There’s a sticker pack, a LePen and extra plastic sheets to take care of any autographs or photographs. We were honestly so impressed at how great of quality the products are and how well designed they are that we can’t sing their praises enough.

Check out all of their different convention packs – at their website – conquestjournal.com here! They have packs modeled after Supernatural, Doctor Who, The Walking Dead and more.

They also just launched a kickstarter to bring a Star Trek themed journal to their collection! You can check out the kickstarter – here!

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Shares Details About New Jumanji Movie!

0

Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) took to Instagram to share details on the new Jumanji film and how they plan to honor Robin Williams. The film is set to be directed by Jake Kasdan and will star Dwayne Johnson, with other cast members set to be announced. It’s scheduled to be released in 2017.

And the #JUMANJI magic begins. Excellent meeting with our director Jake Kasdan, producer Matt Tolmach, and our @SevenBucksProd team to work on our new re-imagining of this amazing story. I felt like in order to craft something cool we should begin where it all started. Award winning writer Chris Van Allsburg's source material of JUMANJI. Chris also wrote THE POLAR EXPRESS (later adapted by Robert Zemeckis and Tom Hanks) and has a very special & magical way of storytelling. I'm feelin' good and confident stepping into these shoes as a producer as well as actor to bring you something great that you and your entire fam can enjoy. An important thing that I want to be honest and bring up is Robin Williams. The love and respect I have for this man is boundless. You have my word, we will honor his name and the character of "Alan Parrish" will stand alone and be forever immortalized in the world of JUMANJI in an earnest and cool way. I have an idea of what to do and I think his family will be proud. I also think Robin is somewhere lookin' down and laughing, remembering the first time we met backstage and I (for the first time ever) was a star struck bumbling idiot that couldn't even get my words out. Idiot. He literally calmed me down w/ that smile and laugh. But that's for another fun story down the road. We got a great team assembled already over at our home base of SONY and now we build from here. Here's another fun part… in the original movie there were three big roles. In our new story there's now FIVE. Been so damn cool to see all my actor buddies push their projects aside so hopefully they can come play in our world. Should have cool casting announcements this week. Will keep you posted. #TheMagicBegins #JustPressStart #JUMANJI
