Mama Bear stars Mandy Musgrave (South of Nowhere, Kings of Con) as the title character. Other familiar names that appear include Rob Benedict, Richard Speight, Jr., Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Jason Manns, Jim Beaver, and Adam Fergus.
The series followed a town of residents who are a bit different, living in the town Midnight, Texas.
