One of our favorite segments from The Late Late Show with James Corden is “Crosswalk: The Musical”, where host James Corden puts on full musical productions with guest stars in the crosswalk outside CBS Studios. Harry Styles is the latest artist to take part, appearing on the segment to perform his past hits and promote his newest album, Fine Line. With the help of a team of dancers (and an enthusiastic Corden), Styles performed several songs for surprised drivers. You can watch the hilarious clip below:

Fine Line is Styles’ second album and will be released tomorrow, December 13! Styles also guest hosted The Late Late Show this past week, filling in for Corden. You can check out his best moments right here at Nerds and Beyond.

Nerds Gets Cheery: Looking For A ‘Miracle on 34th Street’

Welcome to the next article in our Nerds Gets Cheery series! During the month of December, we are recommending some of our favorite holiday films to get you in the spirit of the season. For today’s film, I chose a classic film that has been a staple of holiday viewing for years. Miracle on 34th Street (both the 1947 original and the 1994 remake) is a moving film about the power of belief.

The film follows Kris Kringle, a department store Santa, and Doris Walker who hires Kris to play Santa at Macy’s. Doris and her young daughter Susan are cynical, with Doris raising Susan to not believe fairy tales.

Susan witnesses Kris perform seemingly impossible miracles and begins to believe despite her mother’s objections. But when Kris is involuntarily committed after being judged insane for his insistence that he is the real Santa, Doris, Susan, and the many people touched by Kris’ actions must come to his defense and prove that perhaps he really is Santa Claus.

I love both the original and the remake for their depiction of the power of faith and belief. In the end, it doesn’t matter if Kris really is Santa; the light he brings to the lives of the people around him is true Christmas magic regardless. Both films also feature a great cast, with the original starring Edmund Gwenn (Kris), Maureen O’Hara (Doris), and Natalie Wood (Susan) and the remake featuring Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins, and Mara Wilson.

For a heartwarming and funny holiday film, be sure to check out Miracle on 34th Street!

Harry Styles Hosts ‘The Late Late Show’, Interviews Himself, Performs “Adore You” and More!

This week on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Corden is having guest hosts fill in for him while he’s away shooting The Prom — an upcoming comedy musical. The other night, Harry Styles took the position for the second time. He first hosted the show in 2017 to promote his self-titled album and now he’s taking back the reigns to promote his new album Fine Line, which is out December 13.

The show opened up with a shot of Styles in a car where he then picks up Corden himself. While on the commute, Corden gives Styles advice on hosting and they then have a glorious mini session of Carpool Karaoke where Styles and Corden sing Watermelon Sugar off of Styles’ new album.

Once in studio, Styles did an opening monologue where he joked that he would always be wherever Corden needs him … as long as he has a new album to promote. Styles also recapped the day’s biggest news.

In Corden-like fashion, Styles also plays a game of Spill Your Guts with Kendall Jenner that is a truth-telling game where you either answer prying questions or eat whatever gross food the person answering the question gives you. As anticipated, Styles ate the gross food almost every single time.

There was also a delightful segment where Styles interviewed himself because, if there’s anything better than one Harry its two. Styles introduced himself as the musical guest for the evening before he performed “Adore You” off his brand new album.

Styles then switched gears to the performance stage to wrap up the show where he served as musical guest. The stage was similarly set up like his music video for the song he performed, “Adore You.”

Fine Line, the second studio album by Harry Styles, will be released December 13.
