It’s One Big Mess After the Other in New Preview for ‘9-1-1’ Season 4, Episode 6 “Jinx”

0

The 118 is about to get very superstitious. In a new preview for this Monday’s episode, “Jinx,” the LA firehouse is going to be having a long day. Check out the preview below!

In the preview, Buck asks the 118’s newest recruit how his first shift was and he says the forbidden “Q” word. Buck, Hen and Chimney are taken aback by how he phrased it, afraid for what might come. The alarm goes off and Chim mentions they’ve been jinxed. Bobby tells Athena the day is going to be a big mess and she gives him a penny for luck, though it doesn’t seem to do much. Between a guy strapping himself to a billboard to fireworks going off, and someone hijacking the 118 engine, Bobby tells Athena her penny never stood a chance.

Check out stills for “Jinx” here and watch the episode this Monday, February 22 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on FOX, followed by a brand new 9-1-1: Lone Star!

Tim Burton Is Bringing New Wednesday Addams Show to Netflix

0

Netflix has announced that they will be bringing the story of popular Addams Family character Wednesday Addams to life in a live action series directed by Tim Burton.

The series, titled Wednesday, will be aimed at young adults, following titular character in a coming-of-age story filled with sleuthing and supernatural mysteries. The official summary reads:

Wednesday attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

Originally made popular by the 1960s television series “Addams Family”, Wednesday was also made popular with younger generations through two “Addams Family” films from the 1990s featuring Christina Ricci. Viewer also saw the character onscreen in the 2019 animated film The Addams Family, which is set to get a sequel later this year.

Show creators Al Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville, Into The Badlands, and The Shannara Chronicles) will be joining the show as showrunners and executive producers, while Tim Burton is set to direct as well as acting as executive producer. The show also has members of the executive production teams from the 2019 Addams Family film set to contribute.

Entertainment Weekly Reveals John Wesley Shipp of ‘The Flash’ Will Join ‘DC’s Stargirl’

In a move designed to bring DC’s Stargirl in line with The CW’s other DC programming, actor John Wesley Shipp has been announced as joining the cast of season 2 of the superhero show.

According to Entertainment Weekly, who broke the news exclusively, Shipp will play Jay Garrick in a flashback sequence to the “Golden Age” Flash in episode 9 of the new season. Shipp played several versions of The Flash on The Flash as well as Henry Allen, Barry Allen’s father.

This crossover will unite DC’s Stargirl with the other CWverse shows including The Flash, Superman & Lois, Batwoman, Black Lightning, Supergirl, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. As established by Crisis on Infinite Earths, Stargirl lives on Earth-2. The move also comes as the series is set to begin its exclusive run on The CW after previously airing on both the network and DC Universe, so this should give Stargirl the chance to appear on other CWverse shows eventually.

There is no word yet on a premiere date for the second season, but it will be in the first half of 2021.

”I AM Kerrigan from Starcraft, I’ve been censored.” And censored he still is, even in Funko Pop! form, but that doesn’t mean we can’t appreciate The Office‘s Dwight as Kerrigan, Queen of Blades nonetheless.

Complete with his briefcase, but missing his blades, Dwight as Kerrigan will be available during the Funko 2021 Spring Convention being held March 1-5. For more details on how to shop the event you can check out Funko’s website.

The Office is a cult classic show following the employees of paper company Dunder Mifflin that ran from 2005-2013. It’s still one the most watched shows today almost a decade after its final season. Recently, the show made the jump from its long time home on Netflix to NBC’s newest streaming service, Peacock, where it arrived with all the episodes and never-before-seen behind the scenes footage.

Felicia Day To Host GISH Wizards & Weirdos Mini Hunt!

0

Calling all weirdos (AKA GISHers). It has been announced that our commander in geekdom Felicia Day will be hosting the upcoming GISH mini scavenger hunt themed “Wizards & Weirdos”, a mashup promised to excite both Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fans.

This hunt will be a bit different from the traditional course they usually take (I can smell the “Dammit, Misha”s brewing). There will be three classes of prizes this year, and different tasks will contribute more points towards winning a certain class. Teams cannot win in more than one class. Check out the different GISHlandia classes below.

The Knights of the GISH Pentadecagonal Table of GISHLandia: Only the boldest and most adventurous team in the land with the courage to conquer our List will be knighted as part of the Royal Order of the Knights of GISHlandia and honored with a mighty surprise treasure!

The Bards of GISHLandia: No one can out-create or out-weird the team of jesters, performers, and Renaissance folk that will be named the official Bards of GISHLandia. The Bards of GISHLandia will be lauded throughout the land in epic poems and awarded with a mystery prize.

The Clerics of GISHLandia: The team who best uses their healing magics to cast charms and cantrips to ease the world’s woes will be honored as The Clerics of GISHLandia and receive the Noble** Prize.

Do we know which tasks are weighted towards which tier? No — that would be too easy. What we do know is that registration is $19.99 a pop. If you’re registered for the annual main hunt (or register for both the mini and main hunt simultaneously), 20% of the price of the mini hunt will be discounted. A portion of every registration will be donated to One Warm Coat, providing at least 2 coats to people in need. Upgrading to a Most Premiumerest Registration will provide coats to at least 4 people in need!

Registration for the GISH Wizards & Weirdos Hunt closes on March 2 at 11:59 PT, so make sure to sign up and get weird for good! For more information, make sure to visit the GISH website!
