The producers of the Jurassic, Bourne, and Indiana Jones franchises have released a trailer for their upcoming current-day chapter of the 1996 blockbuster Twister, Twisters. This summer, audiences can experience the adrenaline-pumping thrill ride directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the Academy Award nominated writer-director of Minari.

Twisters stars Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell as opposing forces — Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser with a haunted past involving a tornado, and Tyler Owens, the charming and reckless social-media star who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures. The film will show the two coming together to try to predict, and possibly tame, the immense power of tornadoes.

Twisters‘ cast also features Anthony Ramos, Brandon Perea, Sasha Lane, Daryl McCormack, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, and Golden Globe winner Maura Tierney.

From Amblin Entertainment, Twisters is produced by Academy Award nominee Frank Marshall and by Patrick Crowley. The screenplay is by Mark L. Smith, writer ofThe RevenantTwisters will be distributed by Universal Pictures domestically and by Warner Bros. Pictures internationally.
