Marvel Studios Shares Official Teaser for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
Marvel Studios have released the official teaser for the third Deadpool film, using the trailer to reveal the official title: Deadpool & Wolverine.
Returning cast members for Deadpool & Wolverine include Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth himself Wade Wilson, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Rob Delaney as Peter. New additions to the franchise cast are Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfayden, as well as Hugh Jackman, who will reprise his role as Wolverine for the ninth time since debuting in the role in 2000 for Bryan Singer’s X-Men.
Deadpool & Wolverine is directed by Shawn Levy from a script penned by Reynolds, Paul Wernick, Rhett Reese, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds is also producing the feature alongside Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. This is the first title in the franchise to be released under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s purchase of Fox.
The teaser confirms rumors of the involvement of the Time Variance Authority, the multi-verse hopping organization at the center of Loki. Beginning at a birthday party for Wade Wilson, the trailer quickly shifts as the party is interrupted by the TVA as they take Wade back to headquarters to enlist him, showing him flashes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, prompting the antihero to proclaim himself the “Marvel Jesus.”
In addition to featuring characters previously owned by 20th Century Fox, Deadpool & Wolverine also acts as Marvel Studios’ first R-rated feature.
