Things just got a little more despicable.

Illumination and Universal Pictures have released the trailer for Despicable Me 4, the first Despicable Me film in seven years.

The new animated film follows 2022’s Minions: The Rise of Gru, which earned almost $1 billion worldwide. Now, the franchise begins a new chapter as Gru, Lucy, and their girls Margo, Edith, and Agnes welcome a new member to the Gru family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. However, Gru will find himself face-to-face with a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara), who forces the family to go on the run.

Directed by Chris Renaud and written by Mike White and Ken Daurio, the film stars Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Ferrell, Pierre Coffin, Joey King, Vergara, Stephen Colbert, Miranda Cosgrove, Chloe Fineman, Steve Coogan, Chris Renaud, Dana Gaier, and Madison Polan.

Gru and family return in Despicable Me 4 July 3, 2024, only in theaters. Watch the official trailer for below.
