The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is based on true events so incredible you will wonder how this movie wasn’t made sooner. Ritchie has adapted the story of Damien Lewis’ book, Churchill’s Secret Warriors: The Explosive True Story of the Special Forces Desperadoes of WWII. The film follows a diverse group of individuals with varying skill sets. This group was formed by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill as a way to help defeat the Nazis during World War 2. With their skills, and very ungentlemanly ways of getting things done, this unit accomplished missions with insurmountable odds and changed the tide of the war. The success of this unit helped pave the way for future military groups like Black Ops and the British SAS.
With a director like Ritchie at the helm, this film is sure to showcase action in his unique style while telling audiences a story that will have us on the edge of our seats. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will be in theaters on April 19. Watch the trailer below:
