‘ClearMind’: Release Date Announced for Darkly-Comedic Thriller

ClearMind

We here at Nerds and Beyond have been graciously given the opportunity to announce the release date for the upcoming thriller, ClearMind.

Boutique domestic distributor, Indie Rights, has announced that the film is set for a North American release on January 11, 2024!

ClearMind stars Rob Benedict (Supernatural, Lucifer), Rebecca Creskoff (Justified), Jenn Lyon (Claws), Kadeem Hardison (A Different World), and Toks Olagundoye (Frasier). Encore Inflight has acquired inflight rights to the film.

The film was directed by Rebecca Eskreis (What Breaks the Ice) and written by Seana Kofoed (30 Miles from Nowhere), and also stars Matt Peters (Orange is the New Black), Jessica Meraz (Drunk History), Alec Mapa (Ugly Betty), and Kofoed (NCIS: Hawai’i),  who produces, alongside Kristin Tegtmeier Higgins. Executive producers are River Place Productions and Lisa “Woody” Challenger.

ClearMind centers around a grieving woman who uses her virtual reality therapy to crash the weekend getaway of her former friends, and what begins as an exercise in therapeutic healing becomes a night of deadly revenge.

“We’re incredibly excited to bring this darkly-comedic genre-bender to North American audiences,” says Linda J. Nelson, of Indie Rights.  “Given current discussions around the virtual versus the real, ClearMind adds some good, unsettling fun to the conversation.”

Caroline Couret-Delegue of Film Seekers negotiated the deal with Encore Inflight on behalf of the filmmakers, and Brian J. Tinkham of Kawahito Law Group negotiated the North American deal with Linda J. Nelson of Indie Rights.

Make sure to check it out when it releases on January 11, 2024, in the U.S., with an in-flight release date to follow.
