Focus Features’ Nosferatu remake with Robert Eggers at the helm has set a theatrical premiere date of December 25, 2024. Eggers wrote and directed the newest take on Nosferatu, as well as serving as a producer alongside Chris Columbus, Eleanor Columbus, Jeff Robinov, and John Graham.
The film stars Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, Lily-Rose Depp, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Ralph Ineson, Simon McBurney, and Willem Dafoe. This is the second remake of of F. W. Murnau’s 1922 silent movie, following Werner Herzog’s 1979 film Nosferatu the Vampyre. The 1922 silent film is an unofficial adaptation of Bram Stoker’s iconic Dracula novel, following the vampire Count Orlok who wants to buy a house in Germany, and all of the horrors that ensue when he becomes infatuated with the real-estate agent’s wife.
