Dead Boy Detectives has officially moved from Max to Netflix, as was revealed by the latter during the 2023 Geeked Week.

Dead Boy Detectives stars George Rexstrew as Edwin Payne and Jayden Revri as Charles Rowland — the “brains” and the “brawn” behind the Dead Boy Detectives Agency. The teaser trailer introduces us to the best friend/ghost pair, as well as a couple of additional characters the two will seek help from in the series including Kassius Nelson’s Crystal and Yuyu Kitamura’s Niko. In addition to these four, the series’ cast also features Jennifer Lyon, Briana Cuoco, Lukas Gage, David Iacono, and Ruth Connell.

Dead Boy Detectives is part of The Sandman universe and based on the comic series from Neil Gaiman. Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz serve as co-showrunners with Greg Berlanti, Jeremy Carver, and Sarah Schechter as serving as executive producers.

Watch the teaser below to get a taste of what the series has to offer when it releases on Netflix. As of now, the series is only marked as “coming soon,” so be sure to stay tuned for future updates as to when to expect Dead Boy Detectives on your screen.
