As 2024 approaches, the time has finally come for Paramount to release the trailer for the newest film adaptation for the broadway hit musical, Mean Girls. The retelling, directed by Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr., is set to come out on January 12, 2024.
The official trailer gives fans the first glimpses of Reneé Rapp’s Regina, Angourie Rice’s Cady, Auli’i Cravalho’s Janice, and so much more. It also gives fans a look at some of the stellar choreography from Casey Nicholaw, who also choreographed the Netflix film adaptation of the broadway smash The Prom.
The trailer delves into exactly how different the modern retelling of the 2004 film will be, showcasing changes in the Christmas dance scene debacle and the use of social media to affect the storyline.
