Sting Announces Retirement Date from Professional Wrestling

Share:

Sting returned to wrestling in 2020 when he made a shocking debut at AEW’s Winter is Coming. Prior to that, he retired in 2016 during his WWE Hall of Fame speech but as Sting himself says, “the only thing sure about Sting is that nothing is for sure.”

Now at the tail-end of his career, Sting spoke to the crowd in Rosenberg, Texas and the viewers at home for tonight’s AEW Dynamite. He announced his official retirement from professional wrestling, noting that he had his first AEW match at AEW Revolution 2021 and that’s where he will retire in 2024. “The only thing for sure about Sting is my retirement, Revolution 2024, is for sure,” he adds at the end of the promo.
