Watch the “A Look Inside” Featurette for ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’

Freddy Fazbear and friends are dying to meet you.

Universal Pictures have shared a new featurette for their Blumhouse production feature film, Five Nights at Freddy’s, peeling back the curtain to build excitement about what’s to come when the beloved game franchise becomes a cinematic event … especially the animatronics that will soon wreak havoc in live-action at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza.

Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he begins his new job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. His first night on the job proves it won’t be so easy to make it through. The film’s cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Lail, Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Mason, and Matthew Lillard. Five Nights at Freddy’s is directed by Emma Tammi and written by Tammi, Scott Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback, with Jason Blum and Cawthon. Executive producers for Five Nights at Freddy’s are Bea Sequeira, Russell Binder, Marc Mostman, and Christopher H. Warer. The iconic animatronics are brought to life by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop.

Blum spoke at New York Comic Con’s Blumfest panel on October 12 alongisde Tammi, who teased that there is a Five Nights at Freddy’s character featured in the film that hasn’t been revealed in any trailers or other promotion for the film. More highlights from the panel can be read here.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is set for a simultaneous theatrical and streaming release on Peacock on October 27, 2023. Watch “A Look Inside” below, and stay tuned for additional coverage on the movie, including a review after release.
