The latest installment to The Conjuring Universe, The Nun II, is coming to digital platforms for purchase beginning October 3, less than one month after its theatrical release. The film will also make its way to 4K and Blu-ray formats with a November 14 release.

The synopsis for the sequel reads:

“1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.”

The Nun II takes place four years after The Nun and features the return of Taissa Farmiga to the role of Sister Irene, who will face off against Bonnie Aarons’ Valak, the greatest evil in the Conjuring Universe that originated in The Conjuring 2. Jonas Bloquet also returns as Frenchie, who was featured heavily in The Nun and can be seen in Ed and Lorraine Warren’s exorcism tapes shown during their lecture in the opening of The Conjuring. New additions to the cast include Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Katelyn Rose Downey.
