Fans of The Conjuring universe will be able to watch this year’s installment to the franchise, The Nun II, in IMAX for one week only starting when the film premieres on September 8. Tickets are on sale now.

The Nun II, which takes place four years after the first, features the return of Taissa Farmiga to the role of Sister Irene, who will face off against Bonnie Aarons’ Valak, the greatest evil in the Conjuring Universe that originated in The Conjuring 2. Jonas Bloquet is also returning as Frenchie, who was featured heavily in The Nun and can be seen in Ed and Lorraine Warren’s exorcism tapes shown during their lecture in the opening of The Conjuring. New additions to the cast include Storm Reid, Anna Popplewell, and Katelyn Rose Downey.

The synopsis for the sequel reads:

“1956 – France. A priest is murdered. An evil is spreading. The sequel to the worldwide smash hit follows Sister Irene as she once again comes face-to-face with Valak, the demon nun.”
