Watch the Second Trailer for ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’

Universal Pictures/Blumhouse

Can you survive five nights?

Blumhouse, the producers behind M3GANThe Black PhoneSinister, and more, and Universal Pictures have released a second trailer for their upcoming horror video game adaptation, Five Nights at Freddy’s.

Five Nights at Freddy’s follows a troubled security guard as he begins his new job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. His first night on the job proves it won’t be so easy to make it through. The film stars Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games franchise), Elizabeth Lail (You season 1), Piper Rubio (Unstable), Kat Conner Sterling (We Have a Ghost), alongside Mary Stuart Mason (Blindspot) and Matthew Lillard (Scream).

The film is directed by Emma Tammi and is written by Tammi, Scott Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback. Producers for the project are Cawthon and Jason Blum with Bea Sequeira, Russell Binder, Marc Mostman, and Christopher H. Warner serving as executive producers. Universal Pictures presents the Blumhouse production in association with Striker Entertainment.

The animatronics for Five Nights at Freddy’s were created by the legendary Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. The new trailer showcases closer looks at the animatronics and introductions to the main four — Foxy, Bonnie, Chica and (of course) Freddy himself. In addition to closer looks at these four, Springtrap also makes an appearance with a knife swipe clean a la Scream (1996).

Five Nights at Freddy’s is set for a simultaneous theatrical and streaming release on Peacock October 27, 2023. Watch the official trailer below, and stay tuned for additional coverage on the movie, including a review after release.
