‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Scores Season 3 Renewal

With the second season already halfway over, Prime Video has finally confirmed that The Summer I Turned Pretty will be returning for a third season!

The hit series is based on Jenny Han’s trilogy of the same title, with each season following one of the books, so it comes as little surprise that a third season is on the books. However, the streamer does note that the new season was greenlit ahead of the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, and, of course, production will not begin until an agreement is reached between both guilds and the AMPTP.

This might mean a longer wait between seasons than we saw between seasons 1 and 2, but it is sure to be worth the wait. Especially as, assuming the third season follows the third book, fans will get to see the whole gang as they leave high school behind and explore life as adults. With all the drama and heart fans have come to love in the series so far, the third installment of The Summer I Turned Pretty is sure to be another can’t miss moment.

Until we know more about season 3 be sure to catch new episodes as they release on Prime Video each Friday through August 18. Then be sure to check back here at Nerds & Beyond for episode recaps and all you The Summer I Turned Pretty news.
