MGM+ has released the official trailer for their upcoming thriller, The Passenger, where “hostile” doesn’t even begin to describe the workplace environment Randy faces due to his coworker, Benson. Randy is portrayed by Johnny Berchtold while horror genre staple Kyle Gallner portrays the violent and dangerous Benson.

The synopsis for The Passenger reads:

“Randy (Johnny Berchtold) is perfectly content fading into the background. But when his coworker Benson (Kyle Gallner) goes on a sudden and violent rampage leaving a trail of destruction in his wake, Randy is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past to survive.”

The film is directed by Carter Smith (The Ruins) from a screenplay by Jack Stanley. The Passenger is executive produced by Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, and Lauren Downey. This is just one of eight films Blumhouse is producing for the Epix premium cable outlet, its release adding to a stellar year for the production banner who will also release Insidious: The Red Door and Five Nights at Freddy’s this year.

Watch the trailer for The Passenger below. The film will be available to rent or purchase digitally August 4, 2023, and will be available on MGM+ later in the year.
