Searchlight Pictures’ acclaimed 2022 film Chevalier is officially set to arrive on digital retailers this summer.
The riveting tale of the life and work of composer Joseph Bologne, this incredible true story follows Bologne from his start as the illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner through his rise to the height of French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer. With music, drama, and even an ill-fated romance and falling out with Marie Antoinette herself, Bologne’s story is captivating from start to finish. In fact, Chevalier has been Certified-Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and is widely regarded as one of 2022’s most visually captivating films.
Fans will be able to catch the film on Prime Video, Apple TV, Vudu, and Movies Anywhere starting June 16. A special bonus feature, “Chevalier: Note By Note,” will also be available from certain retailers, sharing the untold story of Joseph Bologne through the thoughts of the film’s filmmakers, cast, and crew.
Directed by Stephen Williams, Chevalier stars Kelvin Harrison Jr, Samara Weaving, Lucy Boynton, Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo, Marton Csokas, Alex Fitzalan, and Minnie Driver.
