After teasing viewers with a handful of photos, Netflix treated viewers to another look at Nimona. This time, it’s the first official teaser. After a long, long wait, the upcoming animated feature is coming to Netflix on June 30. And by the looks of it, it’s going to be well worth the wait.

Based on the graphic novel by ND Stevenson, Nimona follows Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed), a villain who was framed for a crime he didn’t commit. To clear his name, he reluctantly teams-up with a teenager named Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a mischievous shapeshifter Ballister was conditioned to kill. Instead, Ballister must rely on the one person in the kingdom who’s not against him. “And as the lines between heroes, villains, and monsters start to blur, the two of them set out to wreak serious havoc — for Ballister to clear his name once and for all, and for Nimona to…just wreak serious havoc.”

Nimona is directed by Nick Bruno and Troy Quane, with Karen Ryan and Julie Zackary as producers. Eugene Lee Yang voices Ballister’s friend-turned-nemesis Ambrosius Goldenlion. Additional voice cast includes Lorraine Toussaint, Indya Moore, RuPaul Charles, Julio Torres, Beck Bennett, and Sarah Sherman.

Nimona premieres June 30 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below.
