ABC announced their fall schedule today, which contained entirely reality series due to the ongoing WGA strike. All the scripted shows including The Rookie are being held for midseason.
This means season 6 of The Rookie won’t premiere until early 2024. It’s currently unknown if this will impact the number of episodes in the season. Last January the series moved from Sunday nights to Tuesday nights to run with its spin-off The Rookie: Feds, which the fate of is still currently unknown.
