A film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel It Ends With Us is currently in development with Wayfarer Studios and Sony Pictures. Today, it was announced that Brandon Sklenar — best known for his breakout role in the Yellowstone prequel series 1923 — has been cast as Atlas Corrigan. This news was first reported by Deadline.
Sklenar joins Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, who will star as Lily and Ryle, respectively. Baldoni also serves as director, and the screenplay comes from producer Christy Hall.
It Ends With Us follows college grad Lily Bloom, who moves to Boston and meets a neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid. Despite Ryle’s initial “no dating” rule, their mutual attraction eventually leads to a relationship — one that grows complicated when Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan, comes back into her life.
According to NDP BookScan, Hoover was the bestselling print author of 2022 (with a handful of titles on the list, to boot), and It Ends With Us came in at the very top. The highly-anticipated sequel, It Starts With Us, was released last fall.
