The previously announced The Batman spin-off series for HBO based on Colin Farrell’s Oswald Cobblepot — aka The Penguin — has added Carmen Ejogo, François Chau, David H. Holmes to the cast.

Additional cast for the series includes Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, Rhenzy Feliz, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, and Clancy Brown. Ejogo, Chau, and Holmes’ roles are unknown.

The series, which is still under the working name The Penguin, will feature the return of Farrell to the character. Plot details for the series remain under wraps, but Farrell confirmed in an interview with Extra in October that the series starts one week after the events of the film and that the city is still (at least partially) underwater.

The series will be executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Farrell, Daniel Pipski, Adam Kassanand, and Lauren LeFranc. LeFranc, who previously wrote for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will also serve as the showrunner for this project. It will consist of eight episodes and is currently in production.

This news was broken by Variety.
