“I’m a killer, but I’m also a mother.”
Jennifer Lopez’s upcoming revenge action film The Mother sees the international singer and actress reenter society as a deadly female assassin to save her daughter. The film releases this Mother’s Day, May 12.
The trailer reveals that Lopez’s character wasted the FBI’s time trying to cut a deal for herself, resulting in seven agents’ deaths. Adrian Lovell and Hector Alvarez, who the FBI is hunting, are still on the loose. In order to save her daughter she must go into hiding. But years later they try to lure her out by kidnapping her daughter.
Joseph Fiennes, Lucy Paez, Omari Hardwick, Paul Raci and Gael García Bernal also star. Niki Caro (Mulan) directed the film with a screenplay by Misha Green, Andrea Berloff, and Peter Craig based on a story by Green. Check out the trailer below.
