She’s a Barbie girl in a Barbie world.

The trailer for the long-awaited Barbie live-action adaption from director Greta Gerwig and Mattel has arrived.

Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling star as Barbie and Ken, boasting a supporting ensemble cast that includes Will Ferrell, Simu Liu, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, Michael Cera, Issa Rae, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Rhea Perlman and Kate McKinnon.

“A doll living in Barbieland is expelled for not being perfect enough and sets off on an adventure in the real world.”

Alongside the new trailer confirming a long-standing theory that the film would center around multiple versions of both Barbie and Ken, character posters released earlier today provide a closer look at them. From the trailer, it looks like life in plastic isn’t so fantastic after all.

Gerwig wrote the film alongside Noah Baumbach (White Noise, Marriage Story). Barbie releases in theaters on July 21.
