Bailey Bass Exits ‘Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire’ Season 2

Just one week before the start of production on season 2 of AMC’s hit series Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, Bailey Bass has announced that she will be leaving the show. Bass received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Claudia in the first season alongside her co-stars Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid. The character, who was originally brought to life by Kirsten Dunst in the film adaptation, quickly became a viral sensation thanks to Bass’ performance. She helped propel the series to become one of the most viewed on AMC in its history.

After Bass initially announced her departure via Instagram, AMC confirmed the news in a statement. Bass recently made her big screen debut in the massive hit Avatar: The Way of Water and will be reprising her role in the upcoming third and fourth installments.

AMC also announced that Delainey Hayles will be stepping into Claudia’s shoes for the second season. This marks the actor’s first major role, with brief appearances on Holby City and Too Close, along with a stint in the West End stage production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in London.

There is no word yet on a premiere date for season two. You can find the rest of our coverage of Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire here.
