In partnership with Channel 4, STARZ has plans to bring a psychological and thrilling new series to the screen. The Couple Next Door will take viewers on a six-episode journey into the unknown, seductive, dark world that can live in the next house.
The Couple Next Door has been loosely adapted from the Dutch series New Neighbours. This show will follow the lives of four neighbors, played by Sam Heughan, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jessica De Gouw, and Alfred Enoch. Exploring the dark side of suburbia and what happens when we give in to dangerous desires, this cast will have viewers on the edge of their seats.
Heughan and De Gouw play a power couple, Danny and Becka. Their picture-perfect lives as a cop and yoga instructor are soon turned upside-down by the arrival of some new neighbors. Tomlinson and Enoch’s Evie and Pete move into the upscale neighborhood and find themselves drawn to the interesting residents next door. Soon Danny gives in to temptation and spends a night of passion with Evie. This moment will have some dire consequences as Danny soon finds out how troubled Evie truly is.
Sam Heughan said, “I’m thrilled to be working with Eagle Eye Drama, and director Dries Vos again and adding a third series with my STARZ family. Dries has a unique visual flair, and I’m sure we’re going to make something special.”
