Phineas and Ferb is officially coming back, and it’s bringing the original creative duo with it! Dan Povenmire and Disney announced a 40 episode revival of the beloved show, to be split over two seasons, back in January. At the time, Povenmire was the only member of the original creative duo attached to the project, but it’s now been confirmed that co-creator Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh is onboard as well!

Fans are thrilled that their favorite show is coming back! Especially now that Marsh has been confirmed to serve as executive producer and voice director on the new episodes, while Povenmire spearheads the whole project. The duo truly made the show into the icon that it is, taking what could have been a simple production and turning into the the highest-rated series among kids 6-11 and 9-14 in Disney Television Animation History!

Running for just four seasons, the original show spawned two movies: 2011’s Disney Channel movie Across the 2nd Dimension and 2020’s Disney+ feature Candace Against the Universe. Now, the whole series and both movies are available for streaming on Disney+, and have become a cultural icon for a whole generation. In particular, the characters have become some of the most recognizable animated characters out there, and there is no way a revival of the show would be complete without Dan and Swampy reprising their roles as Dr. Doofensmirtz and Major Monogram.

At this time, it is unclear where the show will actually air, as Disney Branded TV currently produces shows across Disney Channel, Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. However, fans can keep an eye on this page for more updates — or if they want the information straight from the source, Povenmire is active on Twitter and TikTok.
