Anna Faris and More Join Dave Bautista in ‘My Spy: The Eternal City’

Dave Bautista’s My Spy sequel snagged three new comedy veterans, with Anna Faris, Craig Robinson and Flula Borg.

The trio joins the Amazon Studios franchise alongside returning stars Bautista and Chloe Coleman, plus director Pete Segal and the scene-stealing Kristen Schaal and Ken Jeong, as the spy story continues.

Picking up with a now teenage Sophie (Coleman) dragging JJ (Bautista) along as a chaperone for her school choir trip to Italy, the film follows the duo as they find themselves in the midst of trouble, again. Accidental pawns in a terrorist plot against Sophie’s best friend Collin and his father, CIA chief David Kim (Jeong), the duo is back in the spy game.

The original My Spy was one of the many films that moved to streaming in place of a theatrical release in 2020, but ScreenEngine claims that it was the third most-watched release of this kind that year. So, it comes as no surprise that Amazon Studios has chosen to carry it on in a second film. However, there is no anticipated release date for the action-comedy at this time.

She loves music, reading (obviously), and any TV show that can grab and hold her attention. Currently some of her favorite things to nerd out over include Supernatural, Prodigal Son, Louden Swain and Percy Jackson (books, theater, or upcoming show - lets leave the movies out of it).
