Elizabeth Olsen steps into the shoes of an axe murderer in HBO’s upcoming limited series Love and Death.
Love and Death is based on the true story of Candy Montgomery, a woman who murdered her friend from church, Betty Gore, with an axe in 1980 after having an affair with Gore’s husband. Olsen will play Montgomery. The show will draw its inspiration from the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs and a collection of articles from Texas Monthly titles Love and Death in Silicon Prairie, Part I and II.
The series also stars Jesse Plemons as Allan Gore, Lily Rabe as Betty Gore, Patrick Fugit as Pat Montgomery, and Krysten Ritter as Sherry Cleckler.
Love and Death premieres exclusively on HBO Max on April 27.
