Universal is kicking off 2023 with a bang! They’ve just announced plans for a brand new, one-of-a-kind theme park designed specifically for families with young children set to go up in Frisco, Texas.
Known for its iconic parks in Hollywood and Orlando, the brand plans to introduce a new concept with this park. Focusing on lush green landscapes and immersive themed lands, the new park aims to wow even the youngest theme park goers with a unique brand of entertainment, humor, and innovation that bring characters and stories to life. Additionally, the park will be designed to be more intimate than Universal’s existing parks, focusing on a more regional audience.
As a smaller park, it is set to lay on part of 97 acres recently purchased by the company in the Dallas adjacent North Texas city with room nearby for a themed hotel and future expansions. While this smaller size may seem concerning, Universal promises the park will carry the same quality as other, larger resort destinations. Plus, it will be filled with family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, character meet and greets, unique merchandise, and more, but with a look, feel, and scale completely different from Universal’s existing parks.
Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States, and this new concept from Universal should thrive in this family-filled area.
More details on the park will be released in the coming months, so check back for more info.
