Ghosts isn’t getting sucked off the air after this season! That’s right, CBS has renewed Ghosts for a season 3.

Even in the beginning of the show’s first season, Ghosts did exceptionally well. Now, in the 8:30 p.m. EST time slot, the show averages 11.5 million viewers in Live+35 per episode across all platforms.

The series tells the story of Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), who inherit Woodstone Mansion and turn it into Woodstone BnB. When Sam hits her head in the pilot, she’s able to see the ghosts that have lived in the house for centuries. There’s Thorfinn (Devan Chandler Long), the Viking; Sasappis (Román Zaragoza), the Native American; Isaac Higgintoot (Brandon Scott Jones), the Revolutionary War soldier; Sam’s ancestor, Hetty Woodstone (Rebecca Wisocky); Alberta Haynes (Danielle Pinnock), the murdered singer from the 1930s; Flower (Sheila Carrasco), the hippie from the 1960s; Pete Martino (Richie Moriarty), the scout troop leader from the 1980s; and Trevor (Asher Grodman), the ghost without pants from the 1990s. Season 2 has also introduced a Woodstone BnB assistant, Freddie (Mike Lane), and his car ghost, Jessica (Nichole Sakura).

“This season, executive producers Joe Port, Joe Wiseman, and the brilliant cast delivered episodes that far surpassed our expectations,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “From the opening of the Woodstone B&B to epic Halloween and Christmas episodes, we have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know our ‘Ghosts’ even better. Much like our viewers, we love them more each and every week. As the series continues to win fans on broadcast and streaming, we’re thrilled to bring back this touching and hilarious comedy for a third season.”
