Black excellence at its finest. Abbott Elementary keeps finding ways to elevate and build upon success. That success continues, as the show has just been renewed for a season 3!

This renewal follows the show’s great success at the 2023 Golden Globes, at which the show won three awards. Abbott Elementary is also nominated for the 2023 SAG Awards and the Critics Choice Awards (leading with six noms), and of course, unforgettably won multiple Emmys last year.

For those who are unfamiliar, Abbott Elementary follows a group of passionate teachers (and a zany principal) in the Philadelphia public school system. While the school is underfunded and each day brings new challenges, this hilarious, heartwarming comedy shows the commitment these teachers have to making a difference in their (adorable) students’ lives.

The Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning show Abbott Elementary airs on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m ET/ 8 p.m. CT. Check out all of our other coverage on the show here (including episodic recaps) and stay tuned for more updates.
