Just when you thought Kayce Dutton couldn’t get any cooler.

In tonight’s midseason finale of Taylor Sheridan’s riveting drama series Yellowstone, one of the show’s leading actors contributed to the episode’s soundtrack. Luke Grimes, who portrays Kayce, recently released his debut country song, “No Horse To Ride,” and it was featured in tonight’s episode, “A Knife and No Coin.” You can stream the song now on your preferred music platform.

Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Kevin Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect — the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders — an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and vicious business rivalries.

The series also stars Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Gil Birmingham, and more.

Yellowstone is currently in the midst of its fifth season and will pick back up this summer — though the exact return date hasn’t been announced.

While a release date has not yet been confirmed for Grimes’ full album as a part of his record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville (in association with Range Music), he’s set to make appearances at two music festivals in 2023 — Stagecoach in April and Under the Big Sky in July.
