AMC is hoping to cast a spell over viewers with its new premiere event for Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches! Variety reports exclusively that the series will receive a simulcast premiere on five networks: AMC, AMC+, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE TV. It will also stream on Shudder, Sundance Now, Acorn, and ALLBLK on January 12.

Additionally, the network will dive deeper into the inspiration for the world of Mayfair Witches in All of Them Witches, a documentary exploring depictions of witches throughout history. The special will feature interviews from experts, including Pam Grossman, the author of Waking the Witch: Reflections on Women, Magic, and Power. AMC+ subscribers will get to stream the special early, starting December 21, and it will air AMC on January 2 at 10 p.m. ET.

The series stars Alexandra Daddario, Jack Huston, Tongayi Chirisa, and Harry Hamlin. Mayfair Witches is based on the popular trilogy by Rice and joins Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire as part of AMC’s new Immortal Universe based on Rice’s work.

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches will premiere on January 8 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC, AMC+, BBC America, IFC, SundanceTV, and WE TV. You can find our other coverage of the series here.
