‘The Sex Lives of College Girls’ Renewed for Season 3 at HBO Max
Essex isn’t done with us yet, as HBO Max has renewed The Sex Lives of College Girls for a third season! The news follows just a day ahead of the season 2 finale.
Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, the series follows four roommates and friends — Bela, Kimberly, Leighton, and Whitney — as they begin their college journey and find their academic and social footing. Thus far, season 2 has seen them head on some new journeys following the season 1 finale. Bela and Evangeline have started a new comedy magazine, The Foxy, after leaving The Catullan. Leighton is officially out and soon finds a new romance. Meanwhile, Whitney pursues a new challenge, and Kimberly works to pay for her tuition (and gets a new boo in the process).
About the renewal, Suzanna Makkos, executive vice president of original comedy and adult animation at HBO Max, said: “Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble continue to brilliantly capture the college experience in the most entertaining and relatable way. This series is the perfect balance of comedy, sex, curiosity, and chaos, and we can’t wait to see what the next season brings.”
The Sex Lives of College Girls stars Amrit Kaur, Pauline Chalamet, Reneé Rapp, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Mitchell Slaggert, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino, Renika Williams, Midori Francis, Christopher Meyer, Lauren “Lolo” Spencer, and Sierra Katow.
Episodes 9 and 10 of season 2 drop this Thursday, December 15 on HBO Max. Keep up with our coverage, including recaps, here. Stay tuned for season 3 updates as they become available.
