Disney+ Releases ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ Season 2 Premiere Date

Proud Family fans won’t have to wait much longer for season two of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. Disney+ announced the series will be returning on February 1. The revival continues to follow the characters of Penny Proud, her parents Oscar and Trudy, her siblings Bebe and Cece, and fan favorite Sugar Mama. A new synopsis for the season was also released:

“Building off the standout success of the series’ debut, season two of ‘The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder’ continues to tell entertaining and laugh out-loud stories, while highlighting culturally specific experiences of the Black community and addressing universal topics. Various storylines this season include self-worth, interracial dating and Juneteenth.”


The returning cast includes Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, and JoMarie Payton as Sugar Mama. Creator and executive producer Bruce W. Smith and executive producer Ralph Farquhar are also returning for season 2. Previously announced guest stars for this season include Leslie Odom, Chance the Rapper, Gabrielle Union, Anthony Anderson, Holly Robinson, and Courtney B. Vance.
